Review: Ghosts of Darkness (2017)
By William Pattison
For Horror Bob’s Blog..
This time I got yet another cook haunted house film…
This is a haunted house film that I’m gonna put up with The
Haunting, Rose Red, and Legend of Hell House.
This film tells the story of two paranormal investigators. Jonathan,
played by Paul Flannery and Jack, played by Michael I Holes.
Jonathan is the expert in demonology, and ghost theory. Jack,
a former sckeptic who is haunted by the suicide of his wife who got adicted the
Ouija Board and was harassed by an evil spirit.
The main thing that makes this film is how well these two
characters are written and acted.
The haunting is the usual multigenerational haunting where
the history of the house is full of grizzly deaths.
There is no experimental ghost trap in this film because
both investigators use just basic equipment and their minds devices.
The only disappointing thing I found is that the spirits in
this film are susseptable to guns and knives. Yes this is a big no no with
ghosts, but I was able to forgive this because this film royally engaged me and
I actually cared for the characters.
All in all I have to say that if you live haunted house
films you will live this film…
