Review: Echoes of Dread (2026)
By William Pattison For Horror Bob’s Blog…
This time I’m reviewing a Livecraftoan style invasion film.
When a digital creator unearths a cursed film buried for
over a century, she unknowingly unleashes a nightmare that spreads through her
audience. As her followers fall under its sinister influence, she must race to
stop an ancient evil before it turns the internet into its hunting ground.
I have to admit I love a nice Love raftian horror film with
all the nasty monsters and the world invasion stuff. This film is exactly that.
It is loaded with creative monsters and general creepiness.
The monster designed were well executed. I especially like the little talking
spider monsters and the big demon guy.
I loved the idea of the film footage that acts almost like a
virus that brings the monsters. It worked really well for the storyline.
But in the end the one thing that didn’t really work for me
was the two podcasters,Sama that and Rueben played by Michelle Principle and
Austin Greene that were supposed to be a couple. There was just simply no
chemestry to them. They did their jobs as main characters, but not as a couple.
Sorry guys that’s a strike…
But all in all even with the lack in the main couple I
highly recommend it because the Love raftian aspects in this film is a must
see.
Though it lacks in the sexiness and romance, it is LOVECRAFTRIFFIC!!!
